2027 Rate Application
NOTICE OF A RATE HEARING
InnPower Corporation owns and operates electricity distribution services in Innisfil and South Barrie.
InnPower has applied to rebase rates for 2027 instead of 2029 as planned. If the application is approved as filed, a typical residential customer and a typical general service customer of InnPower would see the following increase effective January 1, 2027:
| Residential (750 kWh) | $0.23 per month |
| General Services less than 50kW (2,000 kWh) | $16.95 per month |
Other customers, including businesses, will also be affected.
InnPower has also applied for approval of:
- The 2027 test year revenue requirement.
- Disposition of balances in existing deferral and variance accounts
- Discontinuance of certain deferral and variance accounts
- Approval of new deferral and variance accounts and draft accounting orders.
- Continuation of distributor-specific and generic OEB service charges.
InnPower’s Distribution System Plan also identifies a potential future investment of approximately $20 million associated with the InnPower Transformer Station, primarily forecast for 2030 and 2031. No net project cost is included in the 2027 Test Year. InnPower indicates that it may seek recovery of eligible project costs through an Incremental Capital Module application.
It is important to review the application carefully to determine whether you may be affected by the proposed changes.
You Should Know

During this hearing, we will hear questions and arguments from participants about this case. We will also hear questions and arguments from participants that have registered as Intervenors. After the hearing, we will decide whether to approve the application.

If you do not, the hearing will move forward without you, and you will not receive any further notice of the proceeding.

If you write a letter of comment, your name and the content of your letter will be put on the public record and the OEB website. If you are a business or if you apply to become an intervenor, all the information you fi le will be on the OEB website.
