Dear Valued Customers,
We have experienced an unprecedented outage situation, where we have significant damage and lost several circuits coming into our service area. On top of this we had lost communication to our crews and as many have mentioned, we also lost our outage map (which is back online now!).
We understand that during early points in the outage, our communication to our customers was lacking, we were focusing on mobilization of crews and staff, many of whom, like you, continue to experience prolonged power outages and damage to their homes. However we understand the importance of communicating to you, we are now providing detailed updates via our social media networks and website.
Crews worked and continue to work day and night in the wind and cold to prioritize supply circuits then major distribution circuits, isolating sections of damaged wire and poles in order to get the most people online as fast but as safely as possible. We have crews in from across Ontario to assist us with this. Our goal is to get as many customers back online today and tomorrow. We will then focus on smaller pockets and individual services.
