Help Us Prevent Brownouts
We are currently experiencing extreme heat conditions. In order to avoid possible brownouts and low system voltage, we'd greatly appreciate if our customers could help us by conserving as much energy as possible.
What is a Brownout?
A brownout is a temporary reduction in voltage or power supply, often caused by high electricity demand or grid issues. This can cause lights to dim and electrical equipment to malfunction. While less severe than a blackout (which is a complete power outage), brownouts can still damage equipment.
What you can do!
- Reduce the usage of appliances and disconnect them entirely where feasible
- Minimize the use of air conditioning and set thermostats to a higher temperature
- Avoid electric vehicle charging
Your efforts make a real difference in protecting the grid for everyone.
We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
