2025 Rate Application
On December 12, 2024, the Ontario Energy Board approved InnPower's 2025 Rate Application.
The Ontario Energy Board issued a Decision and Order, approving changes to the rates that InnPower Corporation (InnPower) charges to distribute electricity to its customers, effective January 1, 2025. As a result of this Decision, there will be a monthly total bill increase of $6.45 for the average residential customer consuming 750 kWh. This change does not factor in applicable taxes or the Ontario Electricity Rebate.
Bill impacts to the various customer classes can be seen below:

Column A represents InnPower’s distribution rates for each class of service, which are established by revenue requirements in the rate-setting process.
Column B represents the net of column A plus pass through electricity market costs which are cost variances payable/recoverable to/from the Province of Ontario and Hydro One.
Column C represents the net of column A and column B plus pass through transmission cost variances payable/recoverable to/from Hydro One.
On August 15, 2024, InnPower Corporation filed an Incentive Rate Mechanism (IRM) Application for distribution rates with the Ontario Energy Board (OEB).

What are Distribution Rates?
Distribution rates pay for the costs for InnPower to deliver electricity from generating stations across the Province to InnPower Corporation and then to your home or business. This includes the cost to build and maintain the transmission/distribution lines, towers/poles and to operate provincial and local electricity systems.
Investments in the distribution system are necessary to keep the public safe, reduce power outages and offset the need for expensive emergency repairs. Making investments in the system today will help protect the public, maintain reliability and help offset costly repair, maintenance and emergency work in the future. Each dollar will be invested in a way that benefits our customers and community the most.
