The storm came through on Friday (May 4) evening and resulted in winds exceeding 110 km/h. These winds were strong enough to blow over transport trucks and large trees. Our service territory was badly hit with many downed lines and broken poles. At the height of our outage, we estimated over 5,000 customers out of power. By Sunday (May 6) evening, we are now down to a handful of customers.
