Unplanned Outage - Windstorm Fallen Tree

Apr 30, 2021
3:15 pm
On April 30, a large windstorm caused a tree to fall on distribution lines, causing a huge surge on our distribution system as well as Hydro One supply. The outage started at 3:22 pm and impacted 11,921 customers. We restored 6077 customers in less than 15 minutes and another 3877 customers in 2 hours. The rest of our 1967 customers were restored in less than 4 hours.

After that our crews responded to single outages caused by the windstorm in a timely manner.
